How to exclude accident coverage
Are you insured against accidents with your employer? Then you can exclude the accident cover of your mandatory health care insurance. With accident exclusion, you can take advantage of a lower premium.
If you are employed for at least 8 hours a week at the same employer, then you are automatically insured by your employer against occupational as well as non-occupational accidents. In this case, you can exclude the accident cover of the mandatory health care insurance. This reduces your premiums.
More than 8 hours a week: exclude accident coverage
Do you work for more than 8 hours a week at the same employer? Then you can exclude the accident cover and save on premiums.
Less than 8 hours a week: include accident coverage
Do you work now for less than 8 hours a week at the same employer? If so, we recommend that you include the accident cover.
