Mandatory health insurance: changing deductible

In mandatory health insurance (OKP, basic insurance), you can change deductible with effect at the beginning of the following year. The following deadlines must be observed:

  • You can reduce the deductible until 30 November.
  • You can increase the deductible until 31 December.
After these dates, the changes take effect the following year.

There is no deductible for children and adolescents up to 20 years of age.

You will find your insurance number on the back of your health insurance card or on your insurance policy. Your insurance number has at least 10 and maximum 11 digits.

The new deductible is valid from: 01.01.${year}
